Review Policy

 I write at least a short review for every children's and young adult book I finish (excluding most of the picture books I read for work, or I might never have time to do anything but write reviews).  I publish those reviews here and on LibraryThing.  Because I review everything I read, my reviews are not always positive, but they are always an honest expression of my opinion.

I'm currently not accepting unsolicited books for review -- I have too much already on my plate right now!  If that changes, I will make note of it here.

I often review:

• Middle-grade fiction (particularly fantasy, realistic, historical, and comedy)
• Young  adult fiction (particularly fantasy, dystopian, realistic, and historical)

I occasionally review:

• Picture books
• Easy readers
• Graphic novels

I rarely review:

• Poetry
• Juvenile nonfiction
• Memoir and biography
• Adult fiction (mainly fantasy, cozy mysteries, inspirational fiction) 

I never review:

• Horror
• Erotica
• Self-published works
