About Me

Hello, Internet!  My name is Misti, and I'm a reader.  I started this blog after a few years of reading other great book blogs (I've linked to some of my favorites in the sidebar), because I love writing about books and having conversations about the books I read.  My reading tastes are pretty eclectic.  As you might guess from the blog title, I love children's and young adult literature, which makes up the bulk of my reading.  However, I also read "grown-up" books on occasion.

I am a children's librarian in central Ohio, so I get to do lots of fun programming (storytimes, puppet shows, craft programs, book discussions and book-themed programs, etc.), as well as helping kids find the information they need and making reading suggestions.  I also help select books for my library's collection -- one of my favorite parts of my job.  I've been a librarian since 2007, when I graduated from the University of Kentucky with my Master's of Library Science.  I'm a member of the American Library Association (ALA), and the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of ALA.  I'm also a professional reviewer for School Library Journal.
